…this started getting old. 12 days of Christmas seems excessive, 12 days of blogging is tiresome. I wouldn’t mind so much if I didn’t have this disjointed them running. Lords a leaping and geese a laying isn’t exactly interesting stuff. Maybe back in the day this was but by today’s standards it’s average stuff at best. With the invention and wide spread use of the internet, anything is possible and findable. It’s not so hard to find 10 lords a leaping and then some. Turns out that 10 Lords a Leaping is a cocktail made with 2oz Macallan Fine Oak 10-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, ¼ oz St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram (whatever that is), ¼ 25 oz Angostura Bitters, ½ oz Fresh lime juice, ½ oz Honey syrup (one part honey, one part water) and garnished with grated nutmeg and Barker & Mills Bourbon Vanilla Cocktail Cherry and served in a coupe glass. Who knew?
Had I used this new fangled internet thing instead of relying on my memory, I would have also known that on the ninth day of Christmas my true love didn’t give to me nine pipers piping as noted yesterday. He actually should have given my 9 ladies dancing. I certainly don’t want to Google that at work. I’m pretty sure those results would be less than Biblical.
So I have two more days (blog entries) to go and I’ll still barely reach my goal of a Twelve Days of blogging streak in keeping with the 12 Days of Christmas which technically ends on Sunday. Not a good way to end or begin a year.
